PhD. Eng. Lucyna Balcerzak
PhD., Eng. Lucyna Balcerzak graduated from the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology with a master’s degree in Biotechnology, specializing in environmental biotechnology. She pursued her doctoral studies at Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, with cooperation with the University of Opole. In 2016, she received her PhD. Degree. In later years, she was employed as an assistant in an NCBR and NCN project. Currently she works as a research and teaching assistant professor at the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology in the Department of Chemical Biology and Bioimaging. Her scientific interests include compounds of natural origin, biotransformations, and xenobiotic-microorganism interactions.
PhD. Eng. Alicja Surowiak
PhD., Eng. Alicja Karolina Surowiak, graduated in 2015 with a degree in engineering from Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, then continued her studies, obtaining a master’s degree in engineering, specializing in Molecular Biotechnology and Biocatalysis. In 2023, she received her PhD. degree. Currently, she is a research and teaching assistant professor in the Department of Biological Chemistry and Bioimaging at Wrocław University of Science and Technology. Research interests include functional olfactory substances and their various biological properties and alternative toxicity testing techniques.
PhD. Eng. Agnieszka Saeid
Agnieszka Saeid graduated from the Department of Chemistry of Wrocław University of Science and
Technology (WUST) 2005. She obtained a Ph.D. in technical sciences, specializing in chemical
technology, in 2010 with honors. She was granted a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) to
participate in the Postgraduate School of Industrial Ecology (PSIE) – IndEcol at the Norwegian
University of Science and Technology in Trondheim. She has published over 114 papers, including 80
papers in well-known peer-reviewed scientific journals from the JCR list and 16 chapters in books
published by various publishers. Her works have been cited over 1200 times with an h-index of 21.
She also holds six patents. Agnieszka successfully obtained financial support for her national and
international research, including projects with joint Polish-South African/South-African-Polish
collaboration. She collaborates with many universities on multidisciplinary projects.
